Supplier quotations should be compared on more than final price. Differences in scope, assumptions, lead time, quality requirements, and commercial terms can make similar-looking quotes materially different.
Confirm that each supplier quoted the same revision, material, quantity, finish, inspection requirements, and delivery scope. Note exclusions and alternative specifications.
Separate recurring unit cost from tooling, setup, engineering, freight, testing, or other one-time charges. Compare lead times, minimum order quantities, quotation validity, payment terms, packaging, and shipping responsibility.
When a quotation is unclear, ask the supplier to clarify it rather than assuming what is included.
